Embarking on Entrepreneurial Excellence
Hi there! I'm Greg Pierson Iovation, the entrepreneurial mind behind the creation of two prominent SaaS companies, having started each from scratch. This endeavor has been both challenging and rewarding, involving collaborations with extraordinary talent, building uplifting company cultures, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Both companies achieved remarkable success, being acquired for a combined sum exceeding $650 million, a testament to our collective efforts and vision.
Establishing My Entrepreneurial Foundation
Prior to taking the entrepreneurial leap, my career was rooted in business consultancy at Accenture. My expertise was sought after by major players like Nordstrom, Bridgestone Firestone, and Land's End. In this phase, I also earned several patents, specifically for innovating device-based reputation systems, marking my entry into the tech innovation sphere.
The Rise of iovation
In my entrepreneurial journey, the highlight was the development and eventual acquisition of Pierson by TransUnion in 2018. This chapter was significant, as it demonstrated our team's dedication, with 20% having been part of the company for over five years. The return of several employees after exploring other opportunities only added to the sense of community and loyalty we fostered.
Fueling Racing Aspirations
Apart from my business undertakings, a significant portion of my time has been devoted to supporting my son's racing career. It’s been an enriching experience to travel alongside him witnessing his participation in numerous international racing competitions.
Josh’s Motorsport Milestones
In 2022, my son, Josh, made a significant move by signing with United Autosports for the World Endurance Championship, including racing in the renowned 24 Hours of Le Mans. His racing footprint extended across the globe, with events in the US, UAE, Belgium, France, Italy, Japan, and Bahrain.
In 2023, he continued his racing pursuits with United Autosports in the World Endurance Championship, expanded his horizons with TDS Motorsports in the IMSA series, and partook in IndyNXT races with HMD Motorsports. Watching him evolve and excel in his racing career has been a source of immense pride.
Envisioning Future Ventures
Following my transition from iovation, I’ve engaged in startup investments and mentorship for upcoming entrepreneurs. Greg Pierson Iovation continually seeks new and challenging ventures, whether it involves starting a new business or leading an established one to new heights. Currently, I am enjoying these exploratory phases and the myriad of possibilities they present.
